Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GoBoardcast ("GoBoardcast," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you access or use goboardcast.com, our applications, and related products and services (collectively, the "Services").

GoBoardcast provides AI-assisted whiteboard, diagram, script, presentation, recording, and video-export features. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that we do not control, even when they are linked from or integrated with GoBoardcast.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and profile information

When you create or manage an account, we may collect:

When you sign in through a third-party identity provider, such as Google, we receive only the account information that you authorize that provider to share with us.

2.2 User Content

"User Content" includes information and materials that you submit, create, import, upload, record, or otherwise process through the Services, including:

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide User Content to the Services.

2.3 Camera, microphone, screen, and recording data

When you intentionally use recording features, the Services may access or process:

Camera, microphone, and screen access require your device or browser permission. We do not intentionally activate these inputs without your action and authorization.

Depending on the feature and your settings, recording data may be processed locally in your browser or device, stored temporarily, exported directly to your device, or uploaded to our infrastructure or a service provider. The product interface or permission prompt may provide additional details for a specific feature.

2.4 Payment and transaction information

Paid plans and purchases may be processed by third-party payment providers. We may receive transaction metadata such as:

We generally do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy policies.

2.5 Device, log, and usage information

We may automatically collect:

2.6 Communications and support information

When you contact us, we may collect your contact details, message content, attachments, diagnostic information, and our correspondence with you.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  1. Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
  2. Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and manage sessions;
  3. Process prompts, files, recordings, and other User Content to deliver requested features;
  4. Generate whiteboards, diagrams, scripts, summaries, scenes, or other AI-assisted outputs;
  5. Process subscriptions, credits, payments, cancellations, and refunds;
  6. Save projects and synchronize account data;
  7. Diagnose errors, improve reliability, measure performance, and develop features;
  8. Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, spam, and violations of our Terms of Service;
  9. Respond to support requests and service communications;
  10. Send transactional messages such as verification, security, billing, and service notices;
  11. Send marketing communications where permitted, with an option to unsubscribe;
  12. Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We may aggregate or de-identify information so it can no longer reasonably identify you and use that information for analytics, research, and service improvement.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed.

5. AI Features and Model Providers

To provide AI features, we may transmit relevant prompts, files, instructions, or portions of User Content to AI model providers or infrastructure vendors acting as service providers. We limit the information sent to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature.

Unless we clearly disclose otherwise and obtain any required permission, we do not use private User Content to train a publicly available GoBoardcast model. Third-party AI providers may process information under their contractual terms and data-protection commitments. Because our provider configuration may change, you may contact us for current information about material subprocessors.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to outputs generated for other users. Do not include information in prompts or files that you are not permitted to disclose.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

Depending on deployment and configuration, vendors may include services such as Google authentication, Cloudflare security and delivery, Resend email delivery, analytics providers, and payment providers. Some technologies are necessary for the Services to function; others may be optional and subject to consent where required.

You can control cookies through your browser and, where provided, our consent controls. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent some features from working.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

7.1 Service providers

We may share information with vendors that provide hosting, cloud storage, databases, AI processing, authentication, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support, and payment processing. They are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to contractual and legal obligations.

7.2 At your direction

We may disclose information when you choose to publish, share, export, or connect an integration, or otherwise direct us to provide information to another person or service.

7.3 Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, court orders, lawful government requests, or regulatory requirements; protect users or the public; investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7.4 Business transfers

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets. We will take reasonable steps to require the recipient to handle personal information consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

8. International Data Transfers

GoBoardcast and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, approved standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Retention periods vary by data type and context. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted.

Local recordings or exports saved only on your device are controlled by you and are not retained by us unless you upload or synchronize them.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, logging, backups, and security monitoring.

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, using a secure device, and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

To exercise a right, contact support@goboardcast.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some rights are subject to exceptions, including where retention is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

11.1 California and similar U.S. state rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing practices. GoBoardcast does not sell personal information for money. If our practices become subject to a statutory opt-out requirement, we will provide the required mechanism.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

12. Account and Content Deletion

You may delete available projects or account content through product controls where provided. You may also request account deletion by contacting support@goboardcast.com from the email address associated with your account.

Deletion may not immediately remove information from backups, transaction records, security logs, or records we must retain for legal reasons. Content shared with or exported to third parties may remain under their control.

13. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

14. Third-Party Links and Integrations

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information to third parties.

15. Do Not Track

Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, the Services may not respond to them. We will honor legally required preference signals where applicable.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, law, or our practices. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
